If you visit or shop within The Hire Co. you will agree to The Hire Co.'s Terms and Conditions. The Hire Co. website and domain name (thehireco.com.au), is a shopping/hiring website where you can browse, select and order/hire Products & Services advertised on the site from The Hiring Co (ABN 97451740841). Before purchasing, consumers will have read and agreed to all of the policies, postage & shipping information and payment details. Please read them carefully. The Hire Co. reserves the right to amend or update such terms, conditions, disclaimers and limitations of liability at any time without providing notice to you. Please note that all transactions are processed in Australian Dollars (AUD)
All content included on this site, such as text, graphics, logos, button icons, images, manuals, videos is property of The Hire Co. and its associates. The compilation of all content on this site is the exclusive property of The Hire Co. and is used with permission and is protected by international copyright laws.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Hire Co. does not accept liability for loss, injury or damage caused by the use of the product in a manner not designed, recommended nor intended by the manufacturer. The Hire Co. does not accept liability for consequential loss, nor for injury or damage caused by circumstances beyond our control, included but not limited to misuse, neglect, excessive use, alteration, modification, defective installation, maintenance or repair of the product. Whilst care is taken, The Hire Co. will not be directly liable for any loss, theft or damage to any goods. If a problem arises, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve any issues.
The Hire Co. attempts to be as accurate as possible in providing product information. However we cannot warrant that the information and prices are current, reliable, accurate or error free. If you are unsure about the validity of the information or pricing, or notice any errors or inconsistencies please contact The Hire Co. for further confirmation. All pictures contained within our advertising material are for illustration purposes only.
MINIMUM ORDER, QUOTES AND FINALISING BOOKINGS
Minimum order value is $50 (before damage waiver and bond). Orders below $50 will not be processed. Once an order has been placed with The Hire Co. you must wait for communication from The Hire Co. who will be able to confirm availability and accept the order. The order has not been finalised until full payment has been cleared and communication and acceptance in writing has happened between the customer and The Hire Co. Hire period for items is 4 days, charges apply for items that are not returned on time. The Hire Co. may choose to not hire goods to a customer if the customer fails to pay on time. Orders must be made via the website and processed a minimum of 72 business hours before the pick up date/time. This allows sufficient time for picking and packing.
CANCELLATION OR MODIFICATION
Cancellations and modifications must be done at least 14 days prior to the rental date. If a customer wishes to cancel or modify a booking within 14 days of the rental date there will be no refund granted on the hire items however 100% of the damage waiver + 100% of the bond will be refunded.
If a customer wishes to cancel or modify a booking at least 14 days prior to the rental date then 70% of the hire item value + 100% of the damage waiver and 100% of the bond will be refunded to the customer.
If items were ordered in specifically for a customer then 50% of the hire item value + 100% of the damage waiver and 100% of the bond will be refunded to the customer if a minimum of 14 days notice is given.
The refund will be done via the same payment method the customer paid for the order with. No exceptions.
Cancellations for set up and/or pack down must be done at least 14 days prior to the event date. In this case 70% of the total cost will be refunded. If a customer wishes to cancel the set up and/or pack down within 14 days of the event date there will be no refund granted.
If the event is postponed rather than cancelled and at least 14 days notice is given then the 30% of the hire item value and set up/pack down value held can be issued as a credit which is valid for 12months.
A 5% cancellation fee will be charged even if the order is cancelled directly after being placed, this covers transaction and processing fees.
Candles are non refundable.
Snap Lockdown Cancellations will be done in line with government announcements therefore we understand the 14 day notice policy cannot apply here. 70% of the hire item value + 100% of the damage waiver and 100% of the bond will be refunded to the customer. If the event is postponed rather than cancelled, the 30% of the hire item value which is held can be issued as a credit that is valid for 12months. White event candles may be refunded however custom coloured candles are non refundable.
FEES AND CHARGES
In addition to the hire fee, customers must pay a 20% damage waiver. This fee covers wear and tear of the item and does not cover any costs if the goods are damaged, stolen or lost. It also covers cleaning of the hired items. This is not refundable. A 50% bond is required, this is refundable once the customer has returned the goods in the same condition they were hired out in.
OWNERSHIP, RENTAL PERIOD AND USE
The goods will always remain the property of The Hire Co. and the customer has no right to modify the goods in any way, shape or form. The goods must not be given to anyone else during the time a customer is hiring them. They are only for use of the customer whose name is on the order. The customer must use the goods only for the purpose they are intended and designed for. It is the customer's responsibility to examine and count the goods and be happy with them prior to accepting them. It is the customer's responsibility to gain any permits they need to prior to hiring out the goods. Goods must be used in accordance with any instructions provided and proper care of the goods must be taken by the customer at all times.
LOSS OR DAMAGE
The customer must do everything possible to prevent the goods from getting lost, stolen or damaged and not do anything that may diminish the value of the goods. If something does happen to the goods The Hire Co. must be notified immediately and appropriate action will be taken, charges will apply. Loss or damage of goods normally results in the customer paying for a replacement. Each item works on a case by case basis. If something is found to be broken or missing prior to use, you must notify The Hire Co immediately (prior to use) via phone call, text or email with appropriate photos to support what you are saying.
RETURNING OF THE GOODS
The customer must return the goods to the place nominated by The Hire Co. and they must be returned in the same condition and packed the same as they were hired out in. Failure to do this will result in bond being held. The customer must return the goods on or before the last day of the rental period. If the customer does not return the goods on or before the last day of the rental period additional fees and charges will apply.

PICK UP AND DROP OFF SERVICE
A pick up and drop off service may be available upon request. For more information please contact The Hire Co. Any toll or parking charges incurred during any pick up or drop off service must be paid for by the customer.
All candles for use in our candle holders and vases are to be purchased through The Hire Co. If you do decide to use your own candles in the hired candle holders and vases additional cleaning fees may apply. The fee will be based on the size of the job and will be discussed once the hired goods have been returned to The Hire Co. Candles cannot be refunded.
